Out the gate I preferred the UI in Edge - it seemed cleaner, had clear and option-filled menus, and began offering vertical tabs before Chrome. I began using Edge before it changed to the Chromium engine and feared it would lose some of its uniqueness after the switch, but MS did a good job retaining its look and feature set.
